Essential Becker Collection

Jacques Becker was an important and influential French filmmaker who was admired by the directors that led the French New Wave movement. He made his directorial debut in 1942 after a year in a German prisoner-of war camp. The entire output of his working career was only 13 films including some of the greatest French masterpieces.
